Which it appears posters on the Rage3D forums may have found – two particularly intriguing bits, no less. Naturally, it didn’t take long at all for tech-savvy fans to start picking through the game’s code in search of potential juicy yet-to-be-announced information. It may have taken Valve a while to actually get the L4D2 demo out the door, but out it is. The new DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 is expected to release in the Spring for PC, Mac, and Xbox 360.Left 4 Dead 2 may not be out yet, but some enterprising fans have uncovered references to potential DLC packs in the demo’s code – as well as evidence that the original four L4D Survivors will be returning. Valve announced that they will be releasing the ported content from Left 4 Dead not long after the release of Portal 2 on April 20. There will be an open forum for players to make suggestions for the map as it comes along in its development. Seeing as there will be no new story or audio, Valve is encouraging gamers to contribute to the open forum. The community campaign will be live in the next few weeks as a "work in-progress" type map. The Passing and The Sacrifice focused heavily on the stories of the survivors of both Left 4 Dead 2 and Left 4 Dead. Unlike the most recent content released for Left 4 Dead 2, The Passing and The Sacrifice, there will be no story arc in this DLC. The campaign is being designed by Matthew Lourdelet, the creator of the first L4D2 feature campaign, 2 Evil Eyes. The new content will feature the three remaining campaigns from Left 4 Deadthat have yet to be ported over to the new game, as well as a new community created campaign called Cold Stream.
